There are two coloring books illustrations that show the main ballet poses for children to learn them in a fun and surprising way. This project is my first book illustration for children, made for Victoria Dance Studio. I wore the graphic artist hat by designing the book itself. The interior and the exterior.
It was Victoria Daschevici’s wonderful idea to teach ballet through colors and shapes. To combine two different mediums – dancing and coloring. An innovative way to make children fall in love with ballet. They exercised the poses in analogy with beautiful and delicate birds. In line with the delicate coloring lines.
I created a character little girl would easily identify with. A character that would inspire them to move with ease, like it’s something natural for the body. So easy that every little girl could do it. Just like coloring these pages. Easy like a pirouette.
